I want to start by saying this is not an ad. I’ve been using CeraVe for four years and I love it. I was introduced to CeraVe by my sister-in-law who suffered adult acne and her dermatologist at the time suggested to use CeraVe cleanser and moisturizer. Which she did and saw improvements with her skin. She told me to give it a try and I did.
Here’s 5 reasons why I love CeraVe and why you should love it too:
1. It’s affordable
Many drug store carries CeraVe and it retails for about $11-14 depending where you’re going to buy. Added bonus is their website offers $2.00 coupon for you to print and use Click Here. There’s no minimum purchase since it’s manufacturers coupon. Amazing right? If you are a couponer or thrifty shopper this can help your savings even more.
2. Wide variety for any skin types
When I started using CeraVe, my skin was very oily and I used the cleanser for oily skin. Then I got pregnant with my son and upon giving birth, I notice two weeks postpartum my skin was scaly and dry (nursing mama here). No matter how much I moisturize (using CeraVe moisturizer Here) it was not helping and my face was very itchy. I was using CeraVe, but for oily skin. So I switch to dry skin Here and Oh man! Was it a game changer?! My skin started improving after two washes. I felt the moisture back in my face and the itchiness went away. I’m still using the one for dry skin.
3. Easy on the skin
I have tried both cleanser for oily and dry skin and I can honestly say that they are both easy on skin. Both are unscented which I prefer for my cleansers. The consistency is a little different for each product. The cleanser for oily skin is more clear almost like gel and lathers smoothly on my skin and definitely removes any makeup I have on which I love love love. The cleanser for dry skin looks more cloudy and it is lightweight on the skin. It doesn’t bubble so it was weird for me in the beginning, because I’m so used to the other cleanser that I was waiting for a little soapy action (Ha Ha). There’s none! It’s okay, because it still gets the job done and that’s all that matters to me. It takes some of my make up, but not as good as the oily cleanser.
Did you ever go on vacation and you were sure you packed everything. Then after hours of traveling wether by plane or by car you get to your hotel room, unpack your things, to find you forgot your face wash or your moisturizer? Your holy grail night time routine! Aaah.. Doesn’t feel like the end of the world? Yes I am exaggerating, but its true right? Well, with CeraVe you only have to find the nearest Target or any drugstore you prefer and they will most likely have it. (US Residents only. I can’t speak for International)
5. Offers babies and kids line
Being a mom this was an added bonus for me. I found a line of product for my husband and I that is affordable, widely available and offers products safe for my baby! I love that they offer baby products and they have a line for eczema. My son doesn’t have eczema, but my nephew does and I know what a hassle it is to deal with your babies delicate skins with eczema. Parents who are interested you can read about it Here.
