Hi Friends! I am back for a beauty review. Today, I will be reviewing seven different shade of lipsticks and how it affects my personality.
My all time favorite lipstick shade. It is the perfect nude and I wear this shade with anything. It is my ultimate go to lip shade. The consistency is creamy and soft almost like butter, but not in a greasy way. Whenever I get ready and I can’t decide what lip shade to use, I always reach out to this. I’m almost at the ends of it and it saddens me, because this brand is quite expensive. To be honest I was only able to purchase this, because I was gifted a gift card at Sephora and I used it all to buy this one lipstick. Will I re purchase this again? Absolutely! I’ll just save my lunch money for a few months. Ha Ha! Okay maybe not, but I will definitely saves some to buy another YSL Rouge Volupte.
Now, here is the perfect dupe for the lip shade above. I loved this lipstick for a long time until I was able to purchase YSL Rouge Volupte and had a change of heart. It’s almost the same shade, but big difference is the price and consistency. The YSL Rouge Volupte is creamier and Inglot Rouge à Lèvres is more rough, not like sandpaper rough, but it does not glide smoothly on the lips and I feel it tug on my lips a little. I honestly did not even notice until I had something to compare it to. It was my go to lip shade until I found YSL Rouge Volupte and I can’t lie it really is worth saving up for.
Love love love this hot pink shade. I bought this during the holidays as a box set and I am in love with it. On days I feel chic and feminine, but I want a little edge to my look this is my shade. It’s bright, pink, and fun! This shade can be worn everyday as a pop of color. The only downside to this is it’s sticky, thick and I have to put about two layers to get the color I want. I’m not a fan of sticky lipstick or gloss which is why I don’t reach out to this often. The color is vibrant and chic, that’s why it made my list of favorites.
Let’s take a minute and applaud the name of this lip gloss! (inserting clapping emoji) Do I feel like a dominatrix wearing this? Absolutely not (inserting laughing emoji)! It is out of my comfort, but I enjoy wearing it. Normally, I will use this at night with a winged liner combo. I’m not sure why, but I need to have a dramatic eye make up for me to wear this. It does give me a little boost of confidence wearing this. It’s almost serves as a mask and mentally I know I tried looking good that night when I have this on. Come on winged liner combo? Doesn’t that scream effort? In my book HELL YES! Laughing out loud.
My newest lip shade addition to my collection. This was inspired by my other lip shade favorite that I will talk about later. It’s pink and it has glitter! Ah HEAVEN on a tube. I wore this on my next outfit post and you will see that it’s a settle pink with a touch of glitter. Honestly, I know that I will be wearing this shade a lot for spring. It makes feel girly and chic. Also, it kind of makes me look like I tried. Ha Ha Any women and girls ultimate goal, to look like they tried, but didn’t.
I search for this ox blood lip shade everywhere! I’ve been wanting the perfect red lip to match my pale skin and I found it! Mac Diva is my perfect red lip shade at least for me. This is my vampire, seductress, I am fierce lip shade. Unfortunately, this is not my husbands favorite so it’s not comparable to my Chanel perfume. When I had long hair, I would style a pin up look and wear all black to have my lips pop. It serves as an accessory to my outfit and the best part it last for a long time. Even when I eat the color stays.
Last but definitely not the least, Mac Heroine is my accidental lipstick favorite! The name says it all. It literally acts like heroin not that I’ve tried, but like Edward from Twilight said “You’re scent is like a drug to me like my own personal brand of heroin” -Stephenie Meyer, Twilight. Tho not the scent, in my case the shade of lipstick.
Back story to this accidental shade. I was purchasing make up and I wanted to buy a couple shade of lipstick and I couldn’t decide on what to get, so I asked my darling husband if he can suggest a certain shade for me to try and he suggested this. I gave him a questioning look like “are you kidding me?” This color? On me? Seriously? He then insisted for me to just try it out and see for myself. With full hesitation, I still tried it. To my surprise, I love how it looked on me. It weirdly compliments my pale skin and honestly makes me look like I tried when I have it on.
This is my go to lip shade on days I feel like crap and I don’t want to get ready, but I have to step out of the house to run errands and whatever. This is the lip shade I grab and put on to make my look complete. Normally, I won’t even wear face make up. I will put on a big sunglasses and this lip shade and I am good to go.
Here are some swatches and name of the lipstick and gloss.
