Fun fact: I did not drink my first coffee till I was nineteen years old. My mom was very strict on what we drank growing up. Water was my only option. We did not have juice, soda, coffee etc etc. The only option was to drink water. That’s why I love water and it’s not hard for me to drink more than what our body needs.
I remember having a small get together with some close friends and they were all drinking coffee that went well with the desert that one of our friends brought. At the time I was only eighteen and did not drink coffee. I asked for milk instead and they all looked at me weirdly. Like I was an alien from a different planet. Honestly, even at nineteen when I had my very first cup of coffee I did not enjoy it. The taste was bitter and I hated it.
Not until I became a mom did I see the true value of coffee! I don’t know what I would do if coffee did not existed. Back then staying up to do homework or study for an exam felt like a piece of cake. I did not need caffein to keep me awake. Then motherhood came and changed EVERYTHING! How I miss my eight to ten hours sleep. Now, six hours straight is golden. I’ll wake up feeling like super girl. Like I can conquer the world.
My story sums up my sweater! I am a convert to coffee lover, you can say obsessed! It is my fuel and it keeps me a sane mother to my very active son. How about you? Do you drink coffee or prefer tea instead? I honestly love both. Let me know in the comments below.
