Fun Fact: the last picture was the original look, then my photographer (husband) said “it looks like something is missing from the outfit.” He then said lets put your hair up. I said I don’t have any hair accessories with me. Luckily, this is my mom’s backyard and we went inside to look inside the drawers to find anything we can use to put my hair up. We found paperclips, rubber band and he said “that’ll work! We just need it to hold your hair long enough for this shoot.”

Bonus fact: My husband who’s also my photographer went to Paul Mitchell School for hair. He’s cut mens hair since he was sixteen and he loves it, so I told him to try and get a license for cutting hair. That’s why he went to Paul Mitchell. There he found out that he only enjoys cutting mens hair and not women’s hair. So he only cuts my hair and a handful of women’s hair.

Now, to my yellow dress. Lately I’ve been seeing this bell sleeves trend and first I did not like it. I don’t know why, I just don’t like they look. Maybe after seeing the style from one blogger to another, I started seeing potential and slowly grew on me.

Every year my church celebrates what we call Holy Supper. It’s a big event that we prepare for months ahead. For this event I wanted to wear a dress that I don’t need a blazer or cover up. I just want a simple dress with sleeves. I browse the web for dresses and came across this yellow dress from Zara. Immediately I fell in love with this yellow dress. Sure enough it had bell sleeves as well.

It’s light weight and simple. This yellow dress can easily be dress down or glam up. I want to wear this with Adidas tennis shoes while walking downtown Santa Barbara or something. It’s a little see through so I wore a slip on underneath. The best part about this dress is it’s less than $50.00! It’s still current on Zara’s website, you can click here to check it out.

I love that dress on you! It really compliments you. A lot of people are afraid of the color because it can wash them out.

Btw, your hubby is an excellent photographer!

It’s not easy to wear yellow for many people but you certainly don’t have this problem! You look MARVELOUS 🙂
